General Information

Graeme Mew is a practising mediator, arbitrator and advocate in England and Canada. He was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1982 and is also a member of the Bars of Ontario and British Columbia.  He has conducted over 350 mediations and 50 arbitrations as a neutral in the UK, Canada, the US and several other countries.

As a lawyer his areas of practice include insurance law (including coverage, defence, Lloyd's/London market, primary/excess and reinsurance issues), products liability, personal injury, professional liability, directors' and officers' liability, transportation, other contract and tort litigation, sports and entertainment disputes, administrative law and conflict of laws issues.

As a neutral Graeme's experience includes construction, commercial, personal injury, insurance, landlord and tenant, contract, intellectual property, professional negligence, defamation, sports, financial services and partnership matters.

His panel memberships include AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society ("ARIAS·U.S"), International Centre for Dispute Resolution ("ICDR"), Court of Arbitration for Sport ("CAS") and the UK National Anti-Doping Panel ("NADP"). He acts as a Judicial Officer for the International Rugby Board and as a Specialist Member of the Football Association's Judicial Panel. 

Graeme is a CEDR Accrediated mediator and has also undertaked advanced mediator training with the University of Windsor (Canada).
